Road To Status, LLC is adding new bilingual (Spanish speaking) to help with the expansion and execution of our customer service and Spanish translation efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and is looking to make an immediate and measurable impact. Experience working in bilingual customer service in retail, government services, on the phone or in person is a plus. The position can be part time or full time, hourly, depending on availability. It is required that you can read, write, and speak Spanish and English fluently. Remote work may be considered on a case by case basis.

Range of Responsibilities / Projects

Customer Service

  • Providing excellent customer service to clients using phone and email in English and Spanish
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries over the phone or electronically in English and Spanish
  • Directly responsible to organize the workflow to meet customers timeframes and demands
  • Navigating quickly between multiple databases quickly and accurately
  • Ability to follow up and through with all customer interactions
  • Recommending process improvements where applicable
  • Maintaining and growing existing customer business by providing outstanding service and by recognizing and proactively offering appropriate services

Translation Work

  • On the phone translation assistance for Spanish speaking customers who are utilizing our services.
  • Straightforward document translation services from Spanish to English on an as needed basis using Microsoft Word.
  • Editing and translating blogs, social media posts, and other immigration- related content into Spanish
  • Daily social media campaign management, support, and monitoring in both English and Spanish
  • Writing, curating, and managing new content in English and Spanish for our blog and social media purposes
  • Other projects on an as-needed basis

Qualities of an ideal candidate

  • Strong, Professional, Creative and Persuasive writing skills in English and Spanish (For Blogs & Business Documentation)
  • Strong bilingual verbal and written communication & translation skills
  • Working within WordPress platform is a big plus but not required
  • Able to multi-task and drive hard on time-sensitive projects/initiatives
  • Ability to work well both in groups and individually
  • Passionate about learning & testing what you’ve learned
  • Strong organizational skills, punctual, professional
  • Strategic thinker; naturally curious

Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Able to read, write, and speak Spanish
  • Recent grads, Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program
  • 1 year of experience working in a customer service or administrative capacity is preferred
  • GPA 3.0 or greater
  • Ability to work 20-40 hours per week. This position is flexible around school schedule as needed.
  • If you have writings samples to show your research and creative writing abilities, that is a huge plus!

Education / Training

You will receive hands-on experience in multiple phases of online marketing, including:

  • Interpreting user intent from analytics and navigation
  • Honing your customer service/ communication skills
  • Writing in web or print publications for our projects/initiatives
  • Experience working with a team of successful software entrepreneurs
  • Potential for growth as our sales and customer service efforts evolve
