FWD.us’ Deirdre Shannon Shares Immigrant Heritage Insights with Road to Status
Road to Status is proud to partner with FWD us to celebrate Immigrant Heritage Month and the official launch of our company. During the launch event, we were lucky to have several members from the Chicago & New York FWD us team come and support us. We asked Deputy National Organizing Director, Deirdre Shannon to share some of her thoughts about Immigrant Heritage Month with us.
“It’s easy to find folks that can see the immigration system and understand how broken it is, but it’s harder to find people who are motivated to do something about it.”
Deirdre has been with FWD us since 2014, starting as a regional organizer and working her way to the Deputy National Organizing Director position. Prior to FWD us, Deirdre was a field organizer for multiple campaigns, including Cory Booker for Senate and Obama for America.
